Why buy jars of baby food when you can give your child fresh vegetables full of vitamins without all the preservatives and food additives.
Method
- Cut all the vegetables in to chunks of about 1cm thick
- Fill a pot of water that will just cover the carrots and boil the carrots for 15 minutes
- After 15 minutes add the onions, Broccoli and mushrooms then boil for a further 5 minutes
- Take off the heat and add the tomatoes or the passata
- Blend in to a pulp and pour in to ice cube trays.
- Place in to a freezer over night for easy to use re-beatable cubes
When re-heating, microwave for 1 1/2 minutes on full power
Cubes can be kept in the freezer for up to 4 months
These can also make for a tasty pasta sauce when you child can start eating pasta.
1kg Carrots

1 Bunch of Broccoli
3 Button Mushrooms
1 Red Pepper
1 Zucchini
200g Tomatoes
