INTERACTIVE KATAKANA CHART

So here we are, our second alphabet, but this one is going to be easy. You already know hiragana now and whether it is just some vocabulary and basic grammar, you are already talking in Japanese. Great work! Now we are going to move on to Katakana. The best thing about learning Katakana, is that you already know how to pronounce them so half the job is done. We just got to learn to read and write them.

What Is katakana used for? Well primarily, it is used for spelling out western loan words such. Though it can also be used for spelling names or adding emphasis, if you read manga then you’ll see it alot when reading action words on a page. Things like swoosh or bang etc.

Use the chart again to help you with your recollection.
